Groups 1 and 2

On 22nd April First Touch hosted our second Football Festival for local and national teams at Cappielow Park. Players from Dunoon Boys Clubs, Ardgowan Football Development, Antonine Boys Club, Drumchapel Boys Club and Kilmarnock FC enjoyed the chance to play on the same Cappielow pitch that had seen Morton parade the 2nd Division Champion’s Trophy only 24 hours before. We were delighted and enormously grateful to have been given the opportunity to host the event at Cappielow Park and thanks go again to the Chairman, Douglas Rae, Director Crawford Rae and all the staff from Morton Football Club for making the day possible.
A special mention also to all the clubs playing in the First Choice Catering League who kindly sponsored the event. The event means a lot to the young players taking part. The purpose of the Football Festival was to allow teams to play friendly matches against local and national opposition. Once again, the boys did not disappoint the crowd of 300 spectators with some fine displays of footballing talent. Their behaviour was also exemplary.
