CHAMPION GOLFER NARROWLY MISSES CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLE

After seven years at First Touch from 2001-2007 young Chris McAulay turned his attention to Greenock Golf Club, spending much of his school holidays and any of his spare time between then and now practising at the Greenock course.

This year has been the best to date for Chris as he has just won the Junior Club championship defeating young Paul Dorrian 2Up after 36 holes in a closely contested final.

This on the back of losing in the final of the Senior Club championship to Alastair Roy 3&1, Chris made to the final by defeating dad Jim in the semi-final…..no score was given so we can assume that dad Jim was well beaten……watch out as Matthew looks to make the step up!!!!

Chris also represents Greenock Golf Club and is also a member of the County team.

Ryder Cup next???? We will no doubt here more about Chris in the future…watch this space.
